I use a lot of modern technology. My husband also does ham radio, a hobby many think is "dead" when I tell them. We repair a lot of things instead of throwing them out, buy many items used because the older ones are better made than the modern (esp stuff like hand tools!) and try not to fall victim to the modern "disposable" culture as often as we can. It is a balance and I commend you for the work you do and sharing it!

Your shoulder seams could be adjusted back to( if you choose to make again) It's an awful feeling being stuck in clothes! Hubby to the rescue! 🙏💗

The problem here, is that you have to believe it!! You can read hundreds of comments just like mine and I'm sure Mr. Sewrena tells you how beautiful you are all the time, and you'll be flattered but you'll say it was the outfit or the hairstyle or the makeup. If you don't want to buy 4 cones of thread for serging a project, a quick way around it is to wind bobbins for the needle thread(s) and then set up the machine for a single looper thread that gets fed from just one cone or spool. Or, if your serger can't do a single-looper stitch you can either use 2 cones/spools or play thread-chicken with using a bobbin for one of the loopers (the loopers use way more thread than the needles). That said, regular polyester thread should be fine for a swimsuit when using a serger. It'll hold up to chlorine, and the way the serger stitch is formed will provide it with enough stretch to do the job just fine. If you don't mind how the inside looks, you can use a matching thread for the outermost needle and then just whatever thread for the rest since they'll never show on the right side. I love how this project turned out though, it looks great!
